I have 2 boys on crew: Connor is a junior training with the Varsity Boys and Aiden is a freshman training with the Novice Boys. My biggest piece of advice is to find a carpool because it does take a village, and never be afraid to ask questions. We’ve probably all had the same questions in the past and are happy to help.

Ruschell Caiello

Director

My son Michael is training with the Novice Boys. My eldest son rowed for FM & the Syracuse Chargers for 4 years and now rows at University at Buffalo. My advice to new parents is to enjoy each moment & reach out with questions. This is an amazing community of families!

Marcia DeMartini

Secretary

My son Michael is training with the Varsity Boys team. When he joined the team in 9th Grade the veteran families were so helpful and welcoming. Head to the tent at Regattas, ask questions, and get ready for a great season!

Kathy DeParde

Director of Operations

My daughter Ella is training for the Varsity Girls team and plans to row at St. Lawrence University next. We knew nothing about crew when Ella started and relied on veteran parents to help us navigate. There are no silly questions! I also want to thank you in advance for any support you can provide with donations and operations of our food tent this spring.

Director

Rowing has been an incredible journey for my son Liam (senior, Varsity Boys), who has been dedicated to the sport since freshman year—and he loves it! This amazing team of hardworking athletes and supportive families makes this impressive sport even better. My advice to all new athletes and families: don’t be afraid to ask questions, get involved, and enjoy being part of this fantastic "crew"!

Caitlin Graff

President

My sons, Benjamin & Nicholas, are training with the Varsity Boys team. My oldest son (class of ‘24) also rowed for the team. I am a former rower and my favorite part of rowing is that it’s the ultimate team sport. It is wonderful to see the athletes learn to work together and trust each other. My advice to families is come say hello, we’re a friendly bunch of parents and love to share our enthusiasm for this sport!

My daughter, Quincey, is training with the Varsity Girls team and I have two other daughters (class of ‘24) rowing for Wellesley College. My advice to new parents is to cherish the journey - attend as many regattas as possible and engage with your athlete over dinner. These regattas become wonderful opportunities to connect with other families while supporting your rower's growing passion for the sport.

Matthew Krukin

Director

Matt is the parent of Nolan Krukin, who is training for the Varsity Boys team. My family has learned a lot over the last 4 years as rowing has been new to us. It’s such an exciting journey and a great team sport. It would be great to walk anyone through it.

Caryn Marr

Vice President

My oldest, Joy, rows on Varsity Boys and is a senior this year. My youngest, Lily, rows on Varsity Girls and is a sophomore this year. New parents be ready to wear green, bring a cow bell if you have one, and we’ll have so much fun cheering on our teams at each regatta! Our kids bond so much in this sport and the parents do too.

Our son Daniel is a senior on the varsity boys team. Four years goes by fast. We have been involved with crew for many years and we love sharing the sport with as many people as we can.

Jason Terreri

Director

My son Grant is a junior and has been part of the FM rowing program for 3 years. I rowed for Florida Tech and coached at Rollins College. My advice to new parents is to ask questions and encourage your athletes to do the same. Also, wear boots to the regattas!!

Bookkeeper

My daughter, Eve, is a junior with the Varsity Girls. I have been involved with FM Rowing since 2019 when my older daughter was a rower. For new parents, this sport can be overwhelming at times. Don’t be shy! Ask questions, volunteer, and lean in to all the opportunities to become part of a new sporting community. This sport is such a life-long bonding experience for the kids and parents!
